Default Sixers help me with your knowledge

Can a custom fab. H-pipe work with longtube headers from Mac performance. I'm asking because my cat-back is custom and the h-pipe from mac seems to be designed for bolt on systems![:@]

I'm assuming you still have the stock exhaust manifold, in which case I don't think it will work You'll need to get the H-Pipe cut down to meet up with the long tubes. If you went with the short tube design it should fit. From what I've heard unless you've gone hardcore with the engine mods and are pushing serious power you don't need and won't benefeit from long-tubes in fact the factory manifolds flow well enough to support around 300 hp.

you don't need anything. All you do it take you hpipe to the shop...say I want this bolted on. If its for your V6, which it should be..it will bolt right up to your headers...but they will have to WELD on flanges on your custom catback system where the hpipe will bolt to.

Basically they will cut off a piece of your exhaust and unbolt the headers piping. Attach the hpipe and measure to see where the flanges line up with your exhaust and mark it. Cut your exhaust there and weld flanges...then put back hpipe, raise it up and line up with new flanges on your exhaust and bolt it up.

I hope that was what you were asking

crap i dont think i read it correctly.

If you have long tube headers, you need a LONG TUBE hpipe. They are much shorter and line up to the flanges on the headers...if you try to get it custom made its going to cost you a crap load b/c of the measuring and bending that will be needed.

but FYI...LT's are the best for HP. The shorties are good flowing, so swapping to other shorties is like 2hp for like $300...but going to LT's is about 10hp ...but will sound like a motorcycle.
