Power Seat Help
I bought a power seat track from I guess a later model Mustang on eBay. I got it today, and the connectors are different. I guess I didn't research well enough, but I couldn't find anything telling me it wouldn't work. So is there a way to convert the new power seat track to have the connectors of the old power seat track? Thanks.
Here are the two connections, first being the old seat, second being the new. I know the new one has back/front up and down, so I'm assuming that is what the extra connections are for. If I plug in just the four prong connection, as I would the old one, it doesn't work.

I don't really know what either are saying.

FIXED! Thanks for your...suggestions lol. I wasn't exactly thinking, then I said "derp" when I re-read what you wrote. So I drove the Mustang around back, took both seats out, and got to work.
The new track has 3 total motors. One for front/back which is at the front of the track, one for making the front raise which is in the middle, and one for making the back raise which is in the back. The old track has 2 motors. One that goes up/down, one that goes back/forward. The old seat has one connector coming from both motors. The new seat has a whole mess of wires that look confusing. Thing is, you don't need most of them, just the plugs that come straight off the motors.
Since I had to convert three motors to two, what I did was run one set of wire to the switch that made the seat go back and forth. I then ran a set of cables from the wires that made the seat go up in the front to the switch. Since you also want the back to raise, I then ran another set of wires from the rear raising motor piggybacking on the front raising motor to switch wires. So basically you had to have two motors running off the same wires so it would raise the whole seat. After cutting, splicing, and some experimenting, I got it!
So in other words, it is fixed. I bolted it down, and it works great now! The new buyer should be happy.
