Default Windstar Kit

Hey guys! I know I'm asking a lot of questions but this is the first forum I've joined and the questions have been building up over a long time, haha. My question is, if I get a Windstar intake kit, which probably wont be till next summer, will I still be able to get a tune from AM?

You should email them to make sure. Odds are they have a box tune for it, but I'd just get a tuner, any kind used off of ebay and unlocked, then bring the car to a dyno and get it fine tuned. Boxed tunes are OK, but nothing beats dyno tuning as it tunes the car to its individual needs.

you shouldn't really need a tune special for the windstar.

I didn't mean getting the tuner specifically for the intake, I was wanting the tuner for the whole car. I was just wondering of it would affect the usage of a tuner.

Windstar will be a good upgrade for you yes. Tuner will work with it yes.

Ok thanks guys! I'm really looking forward to that upgrade. One more question though, Vap also sells the upper intake spacer. I was figuring since I'm already going in there why not add that too? I'm just not sure if there will be enough clearance on the stock hood?

Clearance issues im sure. my 04 is a tight enough squeeze, I know it wouldn't work.

If you want just the spacer though, Ive got one sitting around

Darn! Thats what I figured. Thanks for the offer mike, but I think I'd rather have the intake. Regarding what jthorn said about getting a used tuner and getting a real dyno tune, is it really worth it for the small mods I have on my setup?

with the windstar kit you don't need that. It has both short and long runners so it covers the powerband.
