edit: Of course if every last one of us could afford it we all would do the Big Gains for Big Grins every time.

who wouldnt want big for big hah. go big or go home, thats why I plan on supercharging my sixxer lol. As far as a windstar intake, would that be preferred over a shaker intake? (don't know too much about those to be honest. and i like how it looks so i figured i'd ask.) and the s/c i wanna get would be the procharger from AM.

Not sure that you will be able to mount the shaker and the supercharger, would be a lot of custom piping and not a whole lot of gain for the price of those shaker kits when basically all you would use would be the scoop out of it.

if im not mistaken, and please, correct me if I'm wrong the super charger appears to sit in the front of the car right by the grille as seen in this picture....

so at least from what they have pictured, i think it would. but then again, it might be a messed up picture and not show it idk.

That's a centrifugal but the problem is the price of that kit includes all piping to run to the stock intake, that piping would be useless with the charger, you could make it work but for that price I would find a Mach 1 being parted and buy just the scoop. Then fab the rest. That said it will not work with a roots blower.

ah ok cool. thanks for the info clearly i'm not too mechanically inclined to understand how everything goes together. so if wanting to get the s/c what would i need to buy as far as intake? i like the scoop but if it isnt gonna help out performance wise, meh.

I would personally tell you to save your money and wait.

Why you ask.....

Simple

You will not keep this car forever. Odds are you'll be like most people. You'll have the car till you're 18-21/22 at which point, if you don't get in an accident, you'll sell/trade in the car for something more modern, powerful, whatever.

So, in short save your money, you'll never, ever, ever get any of it back out of the car when the time comes for you to part ways.

Look at me, when I was 18 I was so excited to own my first car that I swore I'd never get rid of it. Well 2 years later and after lots of bashing from people and the realization that a V6 just wasn't were it's at for me, I got my 95 5.0. And from there I've owned a 99 Cobra, and now my 08 GT. As time passed my needs/wants changed and now my current car fits my current budget and needs best. Sure I could easily have bought a Cobra/Shelby but it's not what I want/need.

The point is your mind changes a lot as you mature into adulthood. And the only thing I regret more than anything was loosing all the thousands of dollars I've invested in my 95, 98, and 99 Mustangs. I still have the 95 but should/when I sell it I won't get much of anything for it compared to what all was invested.

Not trying to disway you by any means, just giving you something to think about. Cars are very bad investments and putting any money into them is a lost cost. So if you're like most people and tight on cash, put that money to better use. In the end very few people actually give a rats batoot to what "mods" your car has.

I Agree and disagree. I feel it really depends on the person. If you are the kind of person that changes their mind/ interests fairly often, I wouldn't do anything major to it. But personally, I feel as if my car is my baby and I'm never going to let it go, EVER, so I don't have any problem putting the money into it. Ha Its all about what your planning on for the future.

see, i have literally loved this style car since it came out. now that im 19 and finally have the car that was my dream car, i wanna do everything i can to keep it for as long as i can. and while you do say that people change and what they want changes, this is one car i'll want to keep forever. or at least try to. because what i wanna do is once i get out of college and have a good career making money and have a bit of money to spend, i wanna get a big *** truck, a eco car such as a GTI (turbo running at like 50 and in 6th gear makes like 50 mpg and its fun to drive lol.), and have my baby still purring with all the accessories i wanna put in it.
