Default SPS question.

I know there is a bunch of threads covering various aspects of this process. I have looked through a bunch of tem already but still have a few questions. First who or where can I get the modded fuel rail? Second, looking at using the lower and heads from a 99 and a windstar upper with spacer (maybe), what year upper will I need and what size hood will be needed?

If you don't feel like ssm ( i highly recommend ) then here is some answers. Can find this stuff at junkyards or other members on the forums.

1. Fuel rail will either need to be from a 99-04 3.8/9 or have one custom made, I have not seen any aftermarket ones on market but then again haven't been looking for a while.

2. 98 and do not use a spacer that is just stupid, the windstar has long and short runners that more then make up for any spacer. + it just adds about 1/2" to 1" of hight that can be used to save space.

3. If you do the swap and conversion the correct way then you can get away with the stock hood but if you do want to go with another then I suggest either a cobra r style or a smaller 3" cowl.

doing it this way "might" save some money.
