Default Steering Wheel Conversion?

Hey guys, so my OEM steering wheel is worn out. The top of the leather is cracked from sitting out in the sun and all so I had an idea. What would you guys think about putting an 05-09 steering wheel in instead? I guess my question to yall is whether or not thats even possible. Thanks a lot for your responses in advance!

I suppose it would be possible, would have to figure out how your going to get all the connects hooked back up...but your best bet would be to go to one without airbags... if i remember right, ours have only one connect for the airbags while 05+ has 2

yeah thats what im saying, because im sure the harness wouldnt be the same, but our cars use a T50 bolt, and the 05+ use an actual bolt i think a 3/4" socket. But it shouldnt be too bad, i dont know if you would have to pull the wheel apart to get to the connects on the new wheel or not. I personally dont think i would like the new wheel in my car. but maybe thats just me...

yeah right now its just an idea. ill most likely just end up getting it rewrapped in a nice leather the same color. I just hate steering wheel covers and thought it might be cool
