Default Fuel Problems?

Hello. I'm having a little trouble with my Stang. It's a 1993 Mustang 2.3L 4 cylinder with DIS Ignition. The problem is that the car won't crank (It will turn over), I checked the plugs to see if they are getting fire and all the plugs are firing. So the next thing I did was spray a little carb cleaner down the throttle body to see if the car would crank and the car did crankand run for a couple of seconds then cut off. So i'm guessing this is a fuel related problem, but every time I cut on the switch, I hear the fuel pump run for about 3 secondslike it normally does.If it's not the fuel pump, then what is it? Also, I have no access to any tools like a fuel pressure gauge or anything like that. I also replaced the fuel filter about a year ago, so I doubt thats it.

I hope you guy's can understand this post and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well shoot if your alternator is turning over, your battery terminals are clean and its a good battery, non maintance free with enough water.... and you sprayed carb cleaner down and it did run somethen fuel pump.

Considering about 80% of these cars have problems with fuel pumps, I am going to assume that is your problem. Although, fuel pumps are expensive, so if I am wrong then you could b screwed. But I dont think I am.

Thank's for all the reply's. Today I'm going to checkover all the wiring and vacuum hose's and fuel linesto make sure that there is nothing wrong with those. If there is nothing wrong with those, then I guess I'll replace the fuel pump. I'm a lttle hesitant on replacing the fuel pump because it still works. If I got a 155lph pump would I have to upgrade the fuel pressure regulator or anything like that (the car is bone stock)?
