It could have been much cheaper, but I had them use all stainless steel. Plus a got some nice black chrome tips, I also got a lifetime warranty from any issues. Total came out to 900 and some change. You could skip the expensive tips and and get some cheaper mufflers and prolly have it done for like 3-500 labor and all.

K&N drop in filter and remove the Silencer (Rubber tube that goes in to the fender) ..and Vola! ..you have a cold air intake! ..and for the record; no the factory airbox system is not restrictive with the Silencer removed.

I trimmed the silencer right at the fender wall, trying to minimize as much hot engine bay air as possible being sucked in.

Hi-Flow cats are less restrictive catalysators.

If your gettin long tubes your already getting rid of two cats, I'd save the money and just keep the two original. You will need to get mil eliminators I believe though.

That^^

Or if you have a tuner, you can turn off the rear 02 sensors.

The front 02 sensors are important for the ecu, but the rear 02 are not, the rear 02 only monitors the cats. If you don't turn them off you will have the "Check Engine" light come on, the car will still run fine and all that, but it will through codes about the cats.

Not at all. You can just take it off as well.

No it will not. If you get a CE light its because the airbox has not been assembled correctly, not because of the silencer has been removed.

And like IllRoush said, you can just take it off, no need to cut it. Just squeeze together where it goes in to the filter housing and it will come right off.
