Default Emergency Brake Control issues

Hi,
I have a 2000 Ford Mustang V6, 3.8l convertible.

My emergency brake doesn't work anymore. I took my car to a FORD service and they said it is the Emergency brake control assembly and it has to be replaced, but they can't get it, because FORD doesn't make it anymore.
They gave me the part number #F9ZZ-2780-AA.

I found a part online (they said it is new) with the part #F5ZZ-2780-AA at DM (www.dallasmustang.com). It says it is for Mustang GT/V6 year 1999-2003. At CJ PonyParts the same part #F5ZZ-2780-AA is listed for Mustang GT/V6 1987-1998.

I am confused now and my question is: does anybody know if the part#F5ZZ-2780-AA will fit for my Mustang?
Even if FORD part number "F5" means it is for 1995 but "F9" means it is for 1999. Did the emergency brake change between 1995 and 1999 (2000)?

I appreciate you help

Thanks!
