Default Leaky Top Help?

Hi all! I'm new to the forum (and to Mustangs in general, really). I generally like to lurk/interact within a forum before I ask for help, but I kinda need some assistance immediately. I bought a bit of a beater 'stang off of a guy recently to replace my jeep as my DD. Unfortunately I've discovered my "no leaks or anything" convertible top is more akin to "like a sieve". I plan to fix up the car next summer, so a new top will be on the list anyway. When I was looking at the top trying to figure out where the water was coming from, I noticed a gap between my rear windows and the top itself.Name: IMG_00261.jpg

The white is light reflecting off the metal in the trunk.

I'm assuming this is not normal? Can anyone give me an idea of what parts are missing so that I can get them ordered? Thanks!

Can anyone say if this is what's missing?

I'm not sure but I think that gap might be normal. Mine has that gap. Mine leaks too, but I'm pretty sure its from the back window, if I lift up the flap by the lower corners of the rear glass window I see the top is torn underneath. Is there a way to fix that without replacing the whole top?

I have a hard time believing the gap is normal. It basically funnels water into the car...

I've lifted up the lower corners near the glass and used sealer or silicon. It stoped the leak for me. Hope this helps
