Does anybody here know if they make a performance chip for these 2.3L engines? If they do, what do they cost and how much will power be increased?

It depends on what chip ur lookin for. They sell resistors that plug into ur ATI sensor which is in your intake, that will give oyu about 5-10 hp.but it wont work if you have a turbo. If you want more horsepower you have to replace your ECU that is located on your passenger side near the side carpet where the door and dash meet. I am not sure where they sell them. I found mine by searching the web. Sorry if this didnt help any. P.S. if your car isnt a turbo then I wouldnt do anything too it. depending on what year ur 2.3l is, the 1985 2.3l has approxi= 85 horsepower. If you want more power, and are willing to spend the money you should get a v6 which has about 125 hp or a gt 5.0 which has 215 hp</P>

Oh yeah these chips run for about $200+. I have seen some resistors that plug into your ATI sensor on your intake run from anywhere from 5 to 35 dollars. I would go on ebay to find them thats where I found mine. ( although I havent had time to test it out yet_)

What "chip" did you get? Was it a resistor, or something like a viper? I know that the resistor isn't worth s**t, because a friend of mine used it on his car and got no benifit. Try advancing your timing and geting rid of the air silencer and a K&amp;N. Those are at least prooven methods that are a lot cheaper than $300.
