Swapping a top if you swap rails and all is as easy as unbolting the old one and bolting the new one in. The part that attaches to the body under the window is stapled to a rail that bolts to the body. Pretty simple.

That one doesn't have the defrost in the rear window. That's why it's so cheap

I have an 06 GT Convertible with a top that is considerably slower going up & down than when I bought it. Does anyone know any easy lubricating fixes I can do?
I live near the beach so I know the ocean air has taken its toll on it, but there is no rust or corrosion. It's more like the metal on metal joints are slowing it down. I was going to just use a spray on lube but then it occurred to me that grease may be better?
Also the manual says to service the top, you have to pull the backseat etc, to check the hydraulics, but for now, do you think lubing it will help and which type should I use?
Any advice is appreciated..thanks.

3 days off work and every moment awake spent replacing the fabric on the frame. I'd much rather do a complete drivetrain swap.

Now it's easy to unbolt the top frame with fabric still attached to it and bolt it on to another car.
