I don't believe it will unless you get the wedge shaped throttle body spacer that vapauto used to sell. I'm not sure if its available still or not. If not the throttle body hits the hood.
I have the F-150 intake under my hood. But it tool a Cobra racing hood. The Windstar intake fits but you need to go to VAP. The intake air control needs to be relocated. Also, you need VAPs throttle body spacer unless you can plastic weld. Also the CAI piece is a must unless you want to cut up other CIAs.
VAP seems to be trying to get out of the business. A lot of people talk big about adding power to there v6, but most people dont follow through. Makes making parts for the v6 not very profitable. I'm thinking if you can grab a throttle body spacer and mill it to a wedge you'd have the same effect. I've got a few parts saved up to do this swap but haven't put a huge effort into it.
would it be possible to make a plastic spacer, and have it kind of wedge shaped? I found an f150 upper for $31, now i just need to make it all work
Just type in "VAP mustang" and you will se it on the sight. The F-150 does not need a spacer. It needs a few longer mounting bolts, t vacuum splicer lines, and 2 pieces of metal to mount coil bracket and PCS. I got some real power from adding a F-150 intake. It forces a lot of air in the combustion chamber and produces more power. VMP Tuning says it is around the same as the Windstar(7hp 13tq). The F-150 has longer runners so probably better numbers on the tq side.
