Default 1996 ford v6 mustang bad radiator need help

I am having a problem with my mustang its a v6 and it kept over heating where you put the coolent shows full but the radiator has nothing in it so I put a new thermostat in it. when I try turning on my car it doesnt turn over and it was leaking out of where you put the thermostat so i toke the thermostat out re connected everything and when I try turning the engine over coolent shoots out of the coolent tank. I need to know why it is doing this and what I can do to fix it. please help.

Maybe you put your stat in backwards.

+1, or there is a kinked hose or something else blocking the coolant from flowing. Good luck...

its like something is block the flow to the engine the problem is the water is getting all the way too the engine but stops there and gets blocked from something so is something wrong with the engine or is it the water pump

I doubt its the water pump. The pump is what is creating the pressure that is making the water spray out. A collapsing water hose could be the problem. Its common for upper radiator hoses to start to fail and collapse in on themselves from the vacuum. That is why they come from the factory with a long spring inside to help prevent that them from collapsing, but people often forget to reinstall them when installing new hoses.

Good luck...
