Default Fuel Pump Driver Module

I am being told that on my 2000 Mustang - come off the highway on a ramp to city speeds, car wants to stall, start put in gear and stalls, have to drive two foot style in the city I am being told the Fuel Pump Edriver Module needs replacing - need some information on this - does this sound right ?
