99 convertible window/top problems
We just bought a nice 99 convertible for the wife and now the driver side quarter window is stuck closed. I can hear a clicking sound in the motor area when I push the raise or lower buttons. I've also noted that the back window over laps the driver door window by a 1/4" or so. This allows air and water to enter.
Are there limit switches built into the motor to prevent a window from going too far open or closed? Is it difficult to remove the back seat panel to access the motor? Any recommendation for a replacement motor mfg.?
I've also noted that when the top is up, there is a hole located at the bottom rear of the 1/4 windows which allows water to enter into the well area where the open top sits. I've checked the weather stripping on both sides and each appear to be quite flexible and seated correctly. Are there weather stripping pieces missing or is there an alignment problem?
Thank you in advance. Bobee in Orlando.
