Default E-Brake Too Light?

Hey guys, I yanked my e-brake pretty hard today, i was pissed, after my battery died due to possible alternator problems. (checking tomorrow) I don't know what I did, but my e-brake feels loose.

It has about 3 inches of travel before I start feeling resistance and doesn't sit as low as it used to. Also, instead of 5-8 clicks on the way up, I only hear 3 now. It still holds the car in place when it's parked, but it just doesn't feel as solid as before.

Any advice is welcome, is this something I can fix at home, or does it need to go to a shop? Did the cable stretch or fall off a pulley? Thanks in advance!

may have stretched, or pulled it out of adjustment. Take off the center console to inspect. Snapping the cable is somewhat common, but you owuld know if that happened

So after some further inspection I ripped the entire front bolt that holds the mechanism down out of the metal it was in. Any suggestions on a fix?

is the bolt stripped, or the floorpan?
