If i buy 17 inch rims from a 2012 thru 2014 mustang for my 2002 v6, will i have to use spacers to accomadate back spacing?

It depends on how wide the rim is in relation to the backspacing. Post us some numbers and some can figure it out.

Hey Vmuth,

Good question and the answer is not the easiest.

Unfortunately, the offset/backspacing on the S197 will actually cause the wheels to stick out on your SN95 so using a spacer would cause them to stick out even further. Although they will essentially fit on your car, I would not recommend running them and I would definitely not recommend running them with a spacer.

I would do a test fit prior to purchase if you really want to run them as they might fit but in regards to a spacer, I say no go.

On a side note, if you are after a stock style 2010+ wheel we do have them in the proper offset and backspacing for your new edge! Check out the Staggered 2010 GT Premium Style Black Wheel & NITTO Tire Kit and let me know what you think!

Check out this picture, I personally think they look awesome.

While you're at it, feel free to check out the Customer Photos where you can see them on a few different New Edges and on your color.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

Just by looking it appears on the new cars the spokes on the rims have very small clearance to the calipers.

I know I have one of the stock rims that is always hard to balance. That is why I want to get a new pair of take offs. Hopefully the red dot will still be on the tires so that I can permanently mark the rim for future tire mounting.

I thought s197 wheel on a new edge would be sucked in, because new edge wheels on a s197 stick out.
