Default Will 09 18" rims fit a 96 15"

Been looking for some new Rims for my 96. I found some 18" off a 2009 on CL. I am assuming that they are the stock 235/50-18 on the 2009. The 96 stock is a 205/65-15 .

Tire Size Comparison
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/65-15 5.2in 12.7in 25.5in 80.1in 791 0.0%
235/50-18 4.6in 13.6in 27.3in 85.6in 740 6.9%

Will there be a Fitment issue ?

they will fit without any issues if you are at stock height. they may rub if you are lowered.

However, being from a different gen means they will have a different offset. They will be pulled in under the car more than your current rims. Not a lot, but something to consider.

Thanks for the Response.

I am at stock Ride height. Will call the guy after fork and see if I can get them. Then Maybe in a week I could get time to get them put on and post a pic.

Picked up the rims and tires (235/50/R18) and they hit the caliper bracket.

SO go and grab the handy dandy "Flap wheel" .. was getting to the point where I did not want to take any more off the bracket and still binds. Spacer Time. You know part stores don't carry a simple 1/4" spacer.. Talked to a guy I know (helped him put 30's on his Regal.) Hoping he might have some. He said he could make me some at work next week. But he did not have any.

Found some on line http://www.americanmuscle.com/14in-w...acer-pair.html So if he don't come through and can get some.

Weird that they rub as I have put a set of 18s off a 2010 on a 1997 without issue.

The rims I got and you can see on the inside Pic where I was rubbing.

And I did not drive it like that ... the marks are from be spinning the wheel by hand.
