Default Posi

My diff is fragged. It still runs but the metal shards (yes shards) in the diff say its time to start planning for replacement.

I am going to do a swap to posi, need to know who (still) makes posi diffs for the 7.5 and who is worth using. looking for something on the lower end of price. I drive 10-20 miles a week and its all city and I am all stock and have no aspirations of modding. Its a V-6 in the mountains, short of Bi-Turbo its really not going to ever impress me.

AR had them from Ford racing. discontinued item. Mainly doing posi for winter traction (getting up the hill to my house) and winter playing(some parking lot antics now and then)

I figure 200$ range is good. much more than that and I'll start looking at the Cobra IRS swap.

Ford racing makes garbage limited slip differentials for the 7.5" rear.....there's a reason they've been discontinued.

The best options are unfortunately the most expensive being the Eaton or Detroit 7.5" rears.

You can take the diff out of a thunderbird supercoupe. they ran a 7.5 posi unit.

I’d just rebuild the diff you’ve got. It will be cheaper in the long run. If your ride is a daily driver and mostly city driving then a posi diff won’t really help you at all. Good luck...
