Get a valentine 1, dont waste your money on anything else.
Yeah I'm about to get one. They are hands down the best, cost alot, but they are really good.
theyve saved me from jail time in my uncles car, once i get the money i will have one forever and just keep upgrading, plus it has the arrows and the counter

A guy I meet swore by the Valentine, said he got his back in '98 and hasn't gotten a ticket since. The nice thing about the Valentine is that you buy it once and just send it in for the upgrades, instead of having to keep buying the newest one.

heheh funny stuff, i ve been trying to go slower everytime but its not happening. I usually dont drive in the HW, most of the time in the city and thats where i get pulled over. Those ****ing cops that drive motorcycles i cant see their asses. Thanks for the posts anyway...
If your driving in the city, the expensive ones will definately be the way to go. The cheaper ones will have a hard time picking up from around/between buildings. Also, radar detctors that can pick up laser are pretty much worthless when dealing with lasers. Lasers are "point and shoot". You can't pick up the laser if it is not being shot out, and once they shoot it out it's already got you/ you are already in sight. So just worry about radar since a cop using laser will bust your **** anyway.

If you do get one, try to get it integrated into your dash so its discret. There are detectors that are made into components that mount on the outside of your car with the main unit inside somewhere in the dash. Having a detector looking like it belongs in the dash might be the difference between getting a warning and a ticket.

Police Officers are more than likely to give you a ticket if you have a radar detector vs not having one. They figure that if you have one, you are knowingly trying to get one over them.

Rule of thumb for City 4 over, HWY 7 over. MMV
