Default 2 throttle cables?

why are there 2 throttle cables? I'm guessing that 1 is a cruise control cable? but my car is a 5 speed, no cruise control. looks like it goes into the drivers side wheel well somewhere.

also, there is slack in the throttle cable at the pedal end, so the pedal sits closer to the floor than it should, is there any adjustment on that end ??

thanks.

Yes one is for the cruise control. It doesnt matter if its a 5 speed or not, All 4 of mine are 5 speeds and came with factory cruise control.

Got cruise on my 2000 5spd as well. Doesn't matter if it is an Auto or Manual, cruise works with both.

ok, so I followed the cable and there is a cc servo? under the wheel well, and I checked all the under-dash fuses and all are good. next question is- should there be a cc warning light on the dash that comes on with the others when I turn the ignition key?
