Bypass heater core...
Can someone help me out? I know cars alright, but not really to be honest. I have a 96 Mustang v6 3.8L I believe, anyways I had some coolant leaking through this drain in my firewall, and I was scoping through interwebs and such, and figured it was my Heater core. Now I don't really have the means to get it all replaced now, and Winter ain't for a couple months, can someone give me a detailed description on how to bypass the heater core I don't need the heat or to run the fan I like the windows down and I'm getting it replaced before winter. Please be as detailed as possible cause I'm lost sometimes under the hood.

first step, are you 100% sure it's antifreeze? it could be condensation from the a/c evaporator and totally normal. other than that, just take the lines off where they go through the firewall and loop them with a piece of any metal pipe that you can get a u shape make sure its flared a bit or a very snug fit before clamping
