Yeah..23 ft/lb is low (to me) for any car. Those are normally in the 28-35 ft/lb range.

This is actually your best answer so far. However, 25-30 FT/LBS is close enough. That is not a big bolt and they can be stripped quite easily with that last little extra.

I have been provided with the torque specs for 2015+ FR & RR;

* the banjo bolts are 35 ft/lbs
* the slider pins are 24 ft/lbs
* the bracket -> hub bolts are 85 ft/lbs (FR) and 129 ft/lbs (RR)

Those last two values worry me; not only is it 50% different, but the larger/heavier/hotter/harder-working FR calipers are tightened dramatically less than the smaller/lighter/cooler/lesser-working ones. On top of that, 129 ft/lbs seems steep for a 14mm bolt.

What I was getting at is that OP didn't provide enough information about his car for us to provide the correct info. Not only did he leave out whether he was working on front or rear brakes, it also matters what year the car is. Posting in the '94-'04 V6 section doesn't narrow it down enough. Compare the attached image below (front brake specs, from the 1995 Ford service manual) to the specs that mrwitty_1 provided. Not saying his specs are wrong. It's that the spec changed, somewhere around 1998 or 1999, I think it was.



So there's no one-size-fits-all torque spec. Not for SN95 brakes, and certainly not for Mustang brakes in general. If you got your 2015 model specs from a reliable source, then go with what they say. But if you don't trust them, then ask the folks in the S550 subforums. I don't think you're gonna find what you're looking for in this section.
