Default Would this work?

Just got finished cleaning out two decades of carbon deposits and I want to get rid of the egr valve without throwing a code, most people recommend buying that kit that caps everything off and getting a tune but couldn't I just disconnect it from the header, clamp a little filter on it and let it suck in air to avoid the failed egr code?
