Windshield Wiper Cowl Cover + Rain
Hello Mustang enthusiasts,
I have an 03 Ford Mustang with a 3.8L V6 base convertible. I took the plastic cowl cover off yesterday and its raining pretty heavily on it now. I wanted to ask if this will cause any damage to the electrical components of the windshield motor plugs in which rest below the cowl cover? Should I anticipate just buying new motors and running new wiring to replace the motors if it turns out the rain will ruin them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Curious why you took off the cover and didn't replace it when you knew it would rain. Having said that, it would be anybody's guess as to whether on not the rain would damage the motor and wiring. It certainly isn't good for them to be exposed directly.
I would suspect having the cowl cover pieces off would do little to the wiper mechanicals and electricals underneath. All of that stuff is made to be exposed to weather - it's not normally in a hermetically sealed case, so why would a little more rain affect it adversely?
