Question Plug Buttons

I recently purchased a 2000 Mustang that needs a lot of TLC. While I was stripping the interior, I pulled two plug buttons from the floor that are super ripped and I would like to replace them. Unfortunately, Ford no longer makes the buttons (391538-S) and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for what else I could use?

I've seen generic ones for sale at autoparts stores, or you could just silicone/rtv/weld the hole up with something
