New softtop installed 5 days ago, now lifting above rear window
HELP NEEDED! My husband and I have a 2000 Mustang convertible and we just got a brand new Robbins 2 piece sailcloth vinyl soft top with glass defroster window installed only 5 days ago. The top was dry after some rain earlier today, so when it got sunny, we went for an hour-long top down drive. When we came home and tried to close it, it was pretty tight and my husband had to help close the passenger side latch as I couldn't get it closed. When we got out, we noticed the upper centre above the rear window had a strange look. The fabric is popping up off the top of the window, but it was completely flat an hour earlier before this drive. I took pictures immediately before the drive because we replaced the tail lights this afternoon. You'll notice no lifting/puckering in the first pic, and see the second taken a minute after we got home and closed up the top. It was installed by a professional auto trim shop located an hour away. I'm hoping this is an easy at-home fix so I don't have to bring it out to the shop and find a ride home if they have to keep my Mustang overnight. If anyone has any advice/guidance on this issue, I would really appreciate it. I don't know how it happened, and after spending several thousand dollars on a new top + install, I'm pretty concerned
I'm a new forum member and a new Mustang convertible owner so I am learning as I go. Please be gentle. Thanks!
