replacing trunk weatherstripping
Occasionally get a small amount of water in the trunk, probably after the car wash. Ordered a new one from Steele rubber, but confused - Steele indicated you need an adhesive, and a tool - cheap scraper/inserter - when I looked at an actual Mustang video of weatherstripping replacement on a 1999, they didn't use adhesive. CJ Pony parts, or maybe LMR, mentioned you need a lube to help install it. Are either of these worth it? The video showed it to be about a 15 minute job to install the new weatherstripping, simply pulling carpeted areas nearby trunk, and carpeted area to unplug electrical wire so you could more easily go around it - should I buy the adhesive and lube, or just install it plain as in the youtube video?
