Ok heres my situation.. i have to make a car payment every month to my parents for 332 for the insurance on my car... since i am only a kid, and only make minimum wage i can't really do the things to my car that i want to.. and if i want to i have to save up a lot.. anyways i was jsut curious of what i can do that would be beneficil for my cars for a low cost.. i know exhaust and CAI. i have the cai and the borla exhaust i want is 1000 bucks. So what do you guys think i should do? thanks for your opinons!

Penny pinch man. Dont tell your mom your packing your lunch and do it neway and save up that $10 or however much money a week for lunch money to save for your car. Sell stuff you dont want. Also dont spend money on anything you dont have too, like going out to eat at fast food or seeing a movie on the weekend or anything. If you want it bad enough you can get it.

 

Rob a convenient store. That should get you enough money for mods[sm=goodidea.gif] J/K

 

Well you are several years younger than me and since I didn't start working till I was 17 and I didn't get my stang till I was 18 I can only imagine what you are going through. For a cai, go to ebay and get the kit that sells for I think 50 dollars, it's the same kit I bought and it fits perfectly, its the kit with the K&N filter. Now since I know you don't make that much money the exhaust will take some time to get, but get your exhaust off of ebay, they will be the cheapest with free shipping, but you will have to pay roughly 100 dollars to get it installed, trust me it will be worth it. Don't worry so bad about money, just wait till you graduate and your work options will widen, if you plan to go to college, I know this sounds weird, but go to work for Home Depot, me, I've been promoted 3 times in the past 9 months from basic outside garden assosiate to inside garden assosiate, to lawn and garden sales specialist, to credit captin-manager. They allow me to work around school and if I get a 3.0 or higher, they refund half of my tuition and cost for the semester.

it almost seems cheaper to buy two flowmasters off of ebay and then have someone install them. best price i've come upon so far is 350 with tips

 

OR, you could get the Pypes and install them yourself like me!!!!! Just borrow the stands 'n shat from someone, somebody's got to have 'em.

 

I had the same problem with my v6. Then i sold out and bought a cobra[sm=badbadbad.gif] Just keep checking ebay/and forum for sale adds for a good deal. Dont let your car controll your wallet though[sm=signs003.gif]
