who's "sticky"? and to the rest im thinking about this exaust for my car, what do you guys think overall?

Flowmaster exaust system
Looks good to me, but they do recommend 2 1/4" pipe on a stock V6. Probably cost you a couple hundred to get it installed. You might want bigger tips also...like 3"
I heard that 2 1/2 inch pipe is all you need until you tubro or supercharge then go to 3 inch....
Well, when you go to a true dual set up, your already freeing up your system and if you go too large like say 3", you will lose your bottom end power like cornholio said and you may not see the benefit until your in the 5k or 6K rpm range at top end speeds, plus you will get a crappy popping sound on deceleration and sometime even back firing.

If I'm not mistaken Autobadges has a 2.5" exhaust and he's super charged.

generally you don't lose bottom end it stays relatively the same but you gain mostly in the higher revs which makes it feel slower than before down low

if you lose on the bottom it will only be on the order of about 5ftlbs maximum and more like 2-3 ftlbs. not really enough to make a difference

all of your guys help is great however.... can someone please help me find some examples on the internet from websites of what you guys think would work well because i sumwhat understand what your talking about but all of this welding and cutting and this that and the other thing has me very perplexed.. i mean if were talking bout trying to get a GT exaust on it means cutting and welding and all this stuff i dont wanna mess up doin myself and i dont know anyone who would.. and it seems that no matter what i do everyone says that it will equial less hp in the long run or very minimal like 3-5hp... which i was hoping for more.. im basically trying to figure out a sum what less costly way of doing this that i can probably do myself insted of runing around and just crossing my figures hopeing that it will all work out in the end cuz im to lazy to ship parts here and there and hopeing thell fit and what not... so all in all what im talking or ranting about is,, i would like to see some catback exaust system that will fit a V6 but give a nice deep rumble so peoples heads will turn but not go through the trouble of cutting welding and crossing my fingers and closing my eyes hopeing it will end up well..

whoa! it's ok! there are pleny cat-backs out there if all you want is more sound. i have a pypes header-back system w/ an x-pipe that i put on myself. you can get that for 450? at rpmoutlet.com. pypesexhaust.com also has catbacks and the full system too if you'd want to look there.

v6 dual conversion kit with GT takeoffs can be found at www.stangparts.com go to their product inventory and you will find them on the last page of the induction and exhaust section
Takeoff kit is $350 for a 99+ V6 including a GT rear bumper
$185 for a 94-98 kit which can be used on a 99+ you just have to hang the tail pipes lower to clear the rear bumper. pretty easy

fo a nice new exhaust system try www.pypesexhaust.com

they have a nice V6 system with the nece sounding X-pipe

A cat back is just that. They remove everything AFTER the cats and put in a new system. Make sure it's a catback, and you're ok. I live in Cali, and I have the same problem. Good thing is, I live in the only county that don't have smog checks every 2 years!
