Some Mustang on Focus action: Maybe?
98 V6 manuals are rated at 0-60 in 9.5-10s and the autos are 10s+ so beating him shouldn't be all that hard, now race me and you'll have your hands full as my car is on your level of performance, and if I don't get the Cobra then I'm putting on gears in a few weeks, so I'm really interested in seeing exactly how much faster they'll make me. But 9s is about right because his car is in excellent condition with a K&N filter and GT cutoffs and has a hair bit less millage then me now, it's just that Ford autos really, really, really suck. I mean think about how long it takes that damn torque converter just to transfer hp from the engine to the rear wheels when you stomp on the gas, you usually loose about 1 second or so and that's where the variation comes in, now I've never tried this, but if you could do a run and somehow account for this time delay, then your times would come out roughly the same as our manual counterparts if you're stock.

and are those time slips or is it magazine racing? cause some magazine has a split port 5 speed running low 15s and a F-body 3800 runing high 16s, lets find out though, just race the guy.

google is your friend. 2001 focus came back as 16.8. i'm pretty sure a stock 99+ v6 (even autos) run faster than that.
