No, keep your V6 and buy a GT, that's what this cool kid did. It's even cooler when your v6 outruns your GT too lol.

didnt you just get a BULLIT and are making it into an all out beast???!?
That's the plan, I'm just terrified of paying the bill. I got my estimate and it's gonna cost me about $20k to get everything I want and 2-3 months at the shop getting built. I want 600hp and 10's out of a streetable car, but man that bill is scary. I'm ready to do it, it's just a big bill to swallow. I really want to buy an F250 before the end of the year, but it's not gonna be easy if I try to do all this stuff at once.

Considering I have about $12k in the 6er, and nowhere near that kind of power, I don't feel sooo bad, but that $8k gap is the engine and s/c in the Bullitt. It is nice though that a pretty good bit of my stuff will swap over to the Bullitt, so I save $500 just in my cat-back, another $500 in shocks/struts, about $200 in springs, $100 in sub-frames, $300 with my XCal 2, about $1800 in wheels and tires; including my drag wheels, dr's, spare 17" GT wheels, another $1000 in seats, and a few other little things can could have definately made that build-up bill grow pretty quick. I'm having to soul search, as much as I want to just say, go ahead and get to work, but whew, it's tough. I'll still have to buy the truck and a car hauler just to take the thing to the track, cause there's no way in hell my old F150 will be able to do it.

that definetly is a big bill to swallow... seeing as you have the bullitt and you acn swap a bunch of your 6er stuff into it, why dont you just slowly start adding things onto your bullitt?? i think its crazy doing all of that at once. i read all the stuff you were doing and it is INSANE... why not just forge it for now, than add a s/c, and so on. why do it ALL at once??!?

Well, being offshore I have more money than time to do stuff like this. Consider how hard it would be to do it one piece at a time. Headers, a full day. K-member a full day. S/C, a full day plus tuning time.Heads, a few hours. New engine, a few days. Plus when I buy the engine I have to pull off the s/c and headers and stuff.

Bolt headers onto the engine out of the car is easy as hell, then the k-member just swaps right in, in about 30 minutes, the s/c goes mostly on out of the car, alll the tuning can get done at once, instead of tuning for each big mod as I get them.

In the long run it's cheaper, but I may do it myself and just save myself a nice little bit of money, and just get everything from and them and take to them to tune it all. They're also going to be setting up my rear suspension and everything, so it will be fast, but also get off the line with as little spinning as possible.

I made the upgrade and that was my choice, just don't kill yourself in yours, I see so many kids under 20 acting like idiots I can't imagine some of those same kids behind the wheel of a V8. In short, if you get the V8, be responsible and don't wind up being a smeer on the side of the road.

Yeah, and even though the GT isn't the fastest thing on the road it still has a helluva a lot of power where I can break the tires loose in 2nd by just flooring it...and I'm not used to the torque/power so it was a big upgrade from my sixer.
I can't wait to feel it after the gears and suspension work.
