The link in my previous post is to an ad for a rare '95 Roush 5.0L.
The rarer the car, the more it draws. These old school Roush cars are hard to come buy, and are climbing in price. The ones that are documented (and still have official papers) can bring in even more. The black '98 I'm looking at isn't listed for public sale at this point. Hopefully it won't ever need to be.
Let's put it this way.... My white one is 1 of 106 V6 made in it's year. It was the first M112'd V6 Mustang ever, was the highest hp supercharged V6 Roush (that we know of) and has set many other records for the motor set up on the open track. The black 98 is rarer.

EDIT: i couldnt see spending extra money because it's a rarer version of something common (if that makes sense). what i mean like that is, i could see buying a lambo because not many people have a lambo, but i dont know if i could buy a special mustang. what is your reason for being interested in these? for me i want things others dont have, just because i'm a materialistic/egotistical person (let's admit we all are). this just doesnt seem "special" enough to the common person, to be worth it for me.
I'm sure you have a much more meaningful reason?

Roush is the winningest team in auto racing history. These versions of his Mustangs run circles around 99% of the 'performance cars' of the same years. The rare ones are part of racing history. I like being a part of that. When the SC'd 98s came out, most magazines mentioned the set up was able to out run the 911 that year on the road course. That says a lot for the 'slow heavy American cars'.
(Edit: Went back to look. MM/FF Oct 1998 had stats putting it in league with both Porsche and Ferrari for handling on a skid pad and braking.)
The difference that they engineer into them is amazing. Suspension/brakes make those cars handle better than most other cars I've driven. I love the aero packages - not only for looks, but because they are actually designed that way to function on a track. I highly suggest test driving one if you get the chance, or head to an event that Roush will be at to see these things doing what they were designed to do in person.
Plus they are just dang sweet looking and I love being different than other Mustangs at the events I attend.

alright matt, you have me convinced. it sounds like a really sweet car to have. and kman, id have to disagree with you on the car being ordinary. my car gets a ton of attention when im out. i just had some girl stare at my car as she walked across the road with her girlfriends... and kept staring as she walked backwards hahaha. i actually felt embarrassed for her. and im pretty sure that my gf's aunt hates me just because i have a mustang (another embarrassing situation, to say the least). i mean i own a 7 year old v6 mustang and people still look at it like its something exotic
