Unfortunately, no good yards around here. A new one is only $50, doesn't seem to be too expensive. Probably get it after Christmas.

Yeah, that would work. I've actually used that stuff before, and the light isn't too faded, if I started noticing I could just apply some more.

I've been pretty much trying to "restore" the Mustang so it looks the best for either personal use or when I do sell it. Still gotta fix the check engine light.

E-brake still pulls to the side. When I took the center console out to replace the boot (I had to end up doing it with hot glue...sort of tore the other off and broke the little tabs that were supposed to hold it on). Still thinking of replacing the whole console as well (with a newer 99-04 one). I still want to figure out what makes the brake pull that way though, and I couldn't figure it out. It actually ruined the side of the e-brake so the glue didn't stay...so when and if I figure it out, I'll have to get another boot to make it look good.


Another question, when I turn the wheel, I hear a sort of creaking noise from the left front wheel (driver's side). It is not really a whining, more of something that sounds un-greased. I haven't really looked down there, but I wouldn't be able to diagnose it if I did. Does it sound like something normal, like a ball joint, or something that I should take it to a shop to diagnose? When I got my tires done a month or so ago, they replaced a tie rod, but said everything else was alright.

Everything else on the car looks pretty good though, except for that pesky missing ashtray cover...

 

Matt, now i know how you feel- Im up for Best non-mustang on another site, and one guy has a MB E63. he brags about it in the nominations, then after voting is set up he posts up "BTW, thats not my car! its my cousins, but i drive it whenever i want"

And in all honesty this probably means I have to sell the stang, I no longer have a place to keep it or work on it...

 

I've driven a stock '94 5.0 Autotragic... it was pathetic, later drove the SAME car as a slammed, cammed, and geared with a 5 speed swap, it was fun but still "only" ran 9.2

Also drive a '98 GT with a PI motor swap and gears on a regular basis... not Impressive for how much money the guy has in a salvage title car...

Also driven some stock foxes, they are fun to burn the tires with the 2:73 gears (when the break, they REALLY break lol), but not a rocket ship by any mean...


DON"T SELL THE STANG!!! TEH LADIES ARE EVILZZZZ... seems to be the month for this kinda thing happening though, myself and some of my best friends have also been going through that shiz

 

Big plans for the stang, dont sell it. Sell the mazda, get yourself a quality snow tires setup, and don't swap the motor until its built and ready to go. My two cents, not that you asked haha
