This means the 6 goes into the lab for a couple months while I finish honing, resurfacing and polishing that 97 block. then the forged rods go in with the 4.2 crank and new stock pistons (all new bearings too). Then I start on head work and little odds and ends like injectors, plugs, wires, finding a wire harness. Sometime in between all that I need to do a little paint work too. This GT will be a cruiser... probably won't do anything more than bolt ons

You have one flaw in your engine... stock pistons. Why skimp out on that when you could buy forged pistons and not have to worry about putting them in later on down the road?

Do it right the first time so it doesnt cost you double. Trust me.

the biggest weak point in the bottom end of our engines is the connecting rods. They have a harder time dealing with the FI just because of their geometry, but with my goals of only 350~ RWHP then I don't think the setup even calls for forged pistons. we'll see...

i dont care how many miles are on that car i will NOT pay much over 6k for an 10 year old mustang if i can find one i like thats a vert 5 speed with less then 75k i might go up to 7500, but thats about it.

by the way when the hell did fox bodies start shooting up in price, the cheapest half decent 5.0 by me is like 7k.

Hey guys I'm looking for a new jack because my old one won't fit underneath my car after I lowered it. I had a cheap Walmart one that was low enough but it was garbage. I was wondering If anyone had any recommendations for a quality low profile jack since I don't wanna drop $250 on a racing jack without hearing some opinions first
