from what ive heard (not experienced), if you are serious about handling you dont want to go much wider than a 255 tire (on 9" wheel). also i think 315s can actually hurt grip because the weight is spread too much and causes the tire to slip easier off of launch. plus a lot of people hate them because they are so wide that the grooves in the road mess with the car.
(all are things that I have heard just to give you something to think about. if anything is incorrect, dont kill me

Ohh and didn't read it all BUT
I run 18x9 18x10
275/35
285/40
Drives fine, sometimes over bumps and what not it will pull a tad, but not like everyone claims ...
and the fronts only rub if your turn the wheel to its max ... which you shouldn't do anyways ...
Rears I did have a slight rub problem ...
Looks like I may have fixed that this weekend with a hammer

Im not sure where I read about the 315s, but here is a little comparison that was done with different tire sizes on the track.

not trying to misinform anyone, mustangman said he wanted his car to handle well more than other things, so just throwing it out there. In reality, staggered or tires that are a little oversized can hurt handling. Ill keep looking around for that 315 issue

being a vert, its only going to handle so good any ways, but I think I might just go 17x9 with 275/40 BFG KDWs all the way around, actually really want a set of stock 01-04 but I cant find them around here

also, very happy to be getting 22 mpg out of the car, and I still have to do a few things for the tune up and get my MILs in

22 is pretty good. are you babying it a lot? i average 20-21 in my 6, so props to you
Mike, i like the color variety of your pics
. that looks like a cool little pull off for some car pics though. the leaning in the tree makes for a cool effect, kind of gloomy/scary
