Default Combo key + remote for 2004?

Does anyone here know of a combination key for the 2004 Mustang? I dont want to have to carry around both the key and the remote (but I need both), so I'm looking for something like the VW switchblade or anything really, just so long as it's one piece. I've seen one on Amazon but it looks like its only for the 2005...

http://www.amazon.com/2005-05-Ford-M...4513268&sr=1-9

Does something like that exist for the 2004?

Hey Mike, I actually work in the automotive remote/key industry. The part you've found from iKeyless is actually an OEM remote transmitter inside an aftermarket remote/key shell (look below it at the remotes available for other Mustangs and you'll see the button pattern/configuration is the exact same).
Not knocking the part at all, just letting you know it's not an OEM part.

There are no factory (Ford) remote key combos available for a 2004, so a part like you've found is what you'll have to settle for, unless you want the OEM transmitter separate from the key.

If you have any questions, let me know

I don't need an OEM part, just something compatible with the 04.

OK, then the part you've found should be fine. The remote and key for the 2004 and 2005 are the same, so there should not be issues with compatibility.
Need to call the company for more information in regards to specifics, but it'll probably be the only key/combo part you'll find for your 'stang since no OEM parts exist.

Okay, thanks. Is $60 a reasonable amount for a key like that?

I can PM you more details for a purchase if necessary (don't want to seem like I'm trying to sell product here), but a stand alone remote would cost half that much.
Again, it's likely the only remote/key you'll find for your vehicle, but it's just a $30 remote inside a plastic shell.

I figured out why there isn't a switchblade key for my specific year of car, I have a molded "collar" on my ignition switch that is only big enough for the stock key head and sticks out about 1/4". Other than simply cutting it away (which would look horrible), is there a way to cleanly remove that collar?
