Default V6 Advantage

The older V6 3.8L to 2004 are the lightest engines Ford ever made. Even the 4 cylinder engine is heavier. A 2004 V6 weights only 350lbs and the 2004 V8 4.6L weights 540lbs. These V6 Mustangs that are only 1.5 second slower vs the 4.6L V8 0 to 60 MPH will way outhandle the V8 in corners. Frankly, how fast does one normally accelerate. The V6 is fast enough IMO and has a handling advantage.
