bscottie, it sounds as though we have the same car! Maybe I'll mod it at some point, but I'm not thinking about it much. It's fun as is. I am constantly finding new reasons (excuses?) to go out in the pony; like, "hon, do you need anything at Walmart that I can pick up?", or "do you want me to drop that off at so-and-so's house for you?", etc. etc. This car has made me a better person. I've got to calm down a bit, because I've put 4,000 miles on this horse in 2 months! [sm=smiley9.gif]
LOL i drove my car for 6 months and i put 30,000KM on it lol.. i hate commuting

Randy,

you're talking about modding for a lot less than $5,000, right? If you mod a V-6 can it mess with the factory design at all? I mean, if you put some parts in their that weren't supposed to be there in the first place, can it create problems down the road? I am really ignorant of auto mechanics, but I guess now is a good time to start learning!

I also have a similar story..... My wife is in the accounting department at a Chevy, Lexus, Bmw & Infinity dealership and a few weeks ago one of the salesman that new she liked the new stangs told her to go back to the detail shop to see what someone traded in on a Lexus Hybrid. To her suprise there was a 05 V6 convertible with every upgrade and only had 2011 miles on it! She called me immediatly and I said "we'll take it"! She did however make me come and drive it first. When we returned it to the dealership, now with 2018 miles on it, we told the salesman we wanted it if we could get a good deal. The previous owner had special ordered the car and paid MSRP @ $29,950. The dealership only gave her $20,000 trade in and we bought the car for $20,100!!. We've also been in the economy class range do to the fact that we live in "BFE". My wife has a 99 Saturn with 240,000 miles on it (still gets 36MPG) and the dealer only wanted to give us $500 trade in, so we said "FU" we'll keep driving it for that. So, our new stang is in the garage with now 2117 miles on it and shes still driving the Saturn 100+ miles a day round trip to work. I had a 67 stang in high school, and I don't think I've been as "in love" with a car since, until now that is. I've also become addicted to these threads (which I never knew existed until we got the stang) and read through them daily trying to learn all I can, and enjoying the humorous side of things too. Thanks to all of you who welcome all of us "newbies", I don't know what we do with out you! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]
