2005 v-6 GT foglight upgrade....
Just wondering if anyone has had any better luck finding a V-6 foglight upgrade? I was going to order the kit from West Coast Performance Parts and read all the negative feedback on them. Found a new site (axceleratedmotorsports.com) and they have the same kit WCPP had for $350. Says its OEM parts with lights/grill/wiring harness & GT switch. Has anyone had any experience with these guys or come across another kit? Don't like the pony grill lights & still love the GT look. Thanks for any replies. RiderFlyer

Check out Street Scene also. They have a two really good kits around that price ($285) with wiring harness (extra $75).

I've got the GT grille in mine, it was the West Coast kit. It did take some work to get it installed. I highly recommend the Street Scenes grille that Wombat mentioned, it looks just like the GT grille but is made for the V6 fascia so is a much easier install. Actually you might even like it better than the GT grille! And it's available in several different finishes.

you will not be unhappy with the ss grill kit and you can slightly bend the pony from your grill and mount it on it as i did. you will also need the actuall fog lights . here is the best price i have seen.

I bought the West Coast kit as well, but was unable to fit the GT grille into the V6 bumper cover. I ended up using the West Coast wiring harness, dash switch, and fogs along with the Street Scene grille.
Be aware that the Street Scene grille is a slightly different look. Rather than a solid plastic piece with large "honeycomb" hexagonal openings, the Street Scene model is constructed of metal with smaller, diamond-shaped mesh. It doesn't feel as sturdy as the OEM grille but I haven't had any problems with it.
You should also know that the Street Scene grille comes without the pony emblem in the center. You can pop it off your stock grille and afix it to the SSE one (like afixer did -- sorry, couldn't resist the pun), leave it blank, stick on a tri-bar pony fender emblem as I did, or be creative and come up with your own look!
I bought my Street Scene grille from Summit Racing Parts. It's available in several finishes -- I have the plain black one, but they also offer a black chrome and a silver chrome. Their web site is www.summitracing.com.
To preview the different finishes on the SSE grille before you buy, check out www.ponybuilder.com. Be sure to click on GT Coupe so you get the fog lights in your picture.
Good luck!
