Had a flowmaster put on my car today. the drone 2000 rpm is horrible. The worst part is i went next store to look at the window tint and the guy had cut my old muffler off and welded the new on one! I hate it. I dont know what to do.

 

Maybe it needs to break in. Is it a 40 series? I have duels and theres certainly nothing wrong with them.

 

ya its a 40 series. i dunno its great until i get to that cruising speed and im at or around 2000 rpm and the drone in the cabin is un godly

 

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about the drone from different exhausts, I have a Borla Cat-Back system and only have a sleight drone and love it. My dad bought the same thing as me for his vert and he hates the drone so much he thought about taking it off and going to back to stock. Of course I talked a little sense into him, but hes probably going to get an x-pipe and see if that helps tone it down.

No disrespect but Magnaflow and Flowmaster are just not ment for our cars!! The only other muffler Im for Is the MRT. If I were to go with flowmaster go with American thunders with a x pipe that sounded decent on a sound clip that I heard before. The JBA's are really quit, not to flashy and no drone. You can stand on the throttle and you won't even really hear it still. My buddy says it sound real good when hes crusin next to me but I can't hear it in the cabin for the life of me. JBA's are over looked a lot too. They have a new stainless steel set up go for the JBA's im tellin ya.
