I like the 16" wheels but something is missing, is this it?
I found this browsing ebay for new wheels and I now think this is what I want to do. Our 16" wheels are just waaaay too hot when chromed in my opinion.
How much would it cost me to get mine chromed and how long is the process?

chroming is pretty expensive, you would def be better off buying the ones on ebay, and selling the ones you have , if you want them. i personally dont care for them much,it kinda takes out all the lines inthe wheels, but thats just me! Get what YOU want!

I kind of like those better than my stock non-chrome ones! I wonder how he can sell them that cheap?

I was just thinking about getting mine chromed and not buying those. A friend had his wheels chromed for $90 ea and just left his car over the weekend then picked it up ready to go. Might cost a little more than buying those and reselling mine but thats a lot of hassle reselling/shipping those wheels

yeah itys a hassle. 90 each thats cool i wanted my truck wheels chromed and they wanted 150 each at three places here in nashville, or course im not going to let someone who quotes me at 40 do it.... you get what you pay for, and if chrome is bad it is BAD. just IMHO

I haven't done wheels yet... but here in St. Louis, getting things chromed is no big deal.
Look up chrome in the yellow pages.... find a few shops that would be an easy drive from your place.
it doesn't take the shop very long to do the actuall process.
MOST Shops charge by the weight of the chrome... that is... they weigh your wheel before.. and again after and then charge on the difference.. Plus a labor cost.
I know the larger the object, the more it cost.. and costs vary quite a bit between shops.
I have had several parts on my motorcycle chromed this way... the cost was anywhere from $15 to $25 a part, with the larger parts costing more. if you bring them a basket of parts all at once it is cheaper then bringing them something one at a time.

i think you'd be better off going to a shop rather than buying them online..but then again..i only say that because i have friends who do those kinds of things for real cheap for me haha
