hey all I've been the proud owner of an '05 for about 9 months now and am finally ready to start modding it out. I'm thinking about a single Borla exhaust, Steeda air intake, JBA shorty headers and the SCT XCal2. I've already bought JBA power cables and NGK platinum plugs. I was also thinking about putting in the JET chip and the Plasma Booster Ignition. I know alot of you have duals but I wanted to keep the single look and I haven't found anyone on here with a sound clip for a single Borla. Also, everyone seems to buy the K&N filter. I know K&N has always been reliable in any kind of car but I wanted something different. Anyone have any ideas or previous experiences with any of these products?

Im not sure about the borla axle back, I have dual magnaflows with X-pipe. I have the X-Cal 2 and love it, I would highly reccomend it. I have the AEM Brute Force CAI and love it, many people like the C&L intake and has proven hp and tq gains. I would reccomend the X-Cal 2 with the C&L intake along with custom tunes.

I don't have much of an opinion, but I do have a Steeda CAI and a predator tuner with 3 custom tunes on it for $500 shipped. Once I get my duals, I'll have a steeda axle back exhaust too.

I second the C&L intake and SCT X-cal tune... an excellent combo! The K&N with a tune produces the same power as a stock airbox and a tune. The rest of your list looks pretty good. The jba headers will really bring out the sound of the Borla axle-back.

I don't think the plasma boost injector will do much of anything. And, I wouldn't put in different plugs.

Count me in for another plug for the C&L CAI with XCal2 combo.

Have you installed the JBA ignition wires (or are those different from "power cables")? Was it hard to do? Did you notice any difference? I like the way they look and the cheap price, but I highly doubt the 5hp claims JBA makes.

no, I haven't installed the jba ignition wires yet. I'm looking to do it in about 3 weeks after I take my car in for service. My friend who will help with the install says he doesn't see any real problems as far as installation. I've decided against the Plasma Booster until my car is basically finished, there's no point in wasting a hard-earned $400 right? BTW, does anyone know any differences between the DiabloPredator and the XCal2? Both seem to be great systems and everyone who owns either seems to be generally happy. Thanks.
