I'd be interested to know as well. I just got my duals installed last week; the Midas guys were gonna go with straight pipes but after doing some research I really wanted to add the h connector. If you haven't already, check out Professor Wizard's "crossover pipes explained" thread at the top of the 2005-06 Mustang forum (not 4.0 or 4.6 specific). He gave me some great advice about why to get an h-pipe, for both sound and performance reasons.
Wish I could give you a comparison, but at least I can say I'm very happy with the h-pipe setup. Nice low rumble; never ricey even when I really get on it.

I had them let me start the car before they put the H in and it sounded good right at startup but after sitting a sec the car idles differently and the whole thing started to shake horribly. Once they put in the H everything was smooth.

furinox!!!!!!!!! i am so incredibly madly in love with you. im jk, but that is EXACTLY what i was hoping for, i hope you didnt read me earlier posts and say that because thats exactly what mine does and i hate it, i put my foot on the gas and hold it at 1000 at stop lights so it doesnt do it!!
