Default N/A POWER

alright, so many of us prefer keeping naturally aspirated engines, but there doesnt seem to be anybody going all n/a and making good power. We need info in my opinion. Who is making the most n/a power and what are they doing for it? any new cams or anything coming out? whats the deal with the n/a scene?!

I have seen manuals up to 213 RWHP which is really good! And autos (myself included) 159 to 201 RWHP. There are two shops working on cams for them, but they are not out yet.

how fast do you think the our 4.0L's can be n/a? w/ cams and anything else you can think of. I mean the 350Z has a smaller V6 and is putting up enough power to challenge GT's. In order to push the 300wrhp marker how much engine work and price do you think it would run?

On a built motor, I have seen projections around 260rwhp. Keep in mind that going this route is much more expensive than throwing a procharger, vortech, turbo or juice on the car. But no one knows the exact numbers because no one has done it yet.

Oh, nm. I knew it would be expensive, i'll just stick da powerhouse turbo on keep it around 350-400 horses, and fix it when my gaskets decide to blow [:@].

Just curious, what are the normal mainenance procedures on a turbo? do you have to check the engine seels every now and then? i know you have to clean and rotate it, but what else and at what intervales? and feel free to apply these questions to centrigual s/c and x-charger.

im curious as to what kind of gains a fully decatted exhaust would give us... I havent seen a v6 yet with long tube headers...I think with lth's, cai, tune, a good exhaust, tb, ud pulley etc. etc. we could make 230whp (on the manual). Im not sure about that, but its just a thought.

I wouldn't count on it, our exhausts are already fine tuned, we don't see gains in the neighborhood of 230rwhp from extensive exhaust work. ASP pulley showed no gain, and the PHP pulley showed 3 to 5 gain. Most will taper off at 220, if even that. But is really good. No one has dyno'd the new throttle body out though.

Turbo regular maintenance (schedule provided by manufacturer):

- Oil change intervals
- Oil filter system maintenance
- Oil pressure control
- Air filter system maintenance

For SC its a little differerent depending on if the SC taps into the oil pan or not, i.e. self contained.
