Default Knocking out tracking

Just attended my second Mustang owners club of Great Britain meet and on the way home had to drive through a width restriction.
I hit the kerb pretty hard with the front passangers side front wheel[:@].
No damage to the rim(lucky me)[] but now I`m paranoid that I may have thrown out the tracking.
I know you`d have to hit it pretty hard, but since I can`t just drop in to my local for dealership and have it checked ( Mustangs are not offically sold here) I just wanted to know what I should look out for if I have thrown out the tracking.
I have`nt had a chance to take it for a run so I can`t say wheather there is any vibration in the steering etc...
Thanks for any advice.

Wow, a Mustang in my home country..that must be super cool..how did you get it over there?

Back to the question though....at high speed you will feel the wheel shaking a bit if you have put the tracking out. But to be honest regardless of what car it is, any decent auto shop will take a look at it and tell you. I use to take my cars to Kwik Fit and they definitely have that technology. Of course they will prlly tell you it needs doing even if it doesn't [>:] there should be a read out that I think is stated in degrees.

Best to get it checked before you get uneven tyre(tire!) tread. Those 17" puppies aren't cheap to replace.

I bought it through Ed Carney ford in New Jersey and got a company over here to ship it and do the necessary light conversions to make it road legal in the UK. They did all the necessary stuff to get registered etc.. so all I had to do was pay up and drive away!
It is super cool and I love it, I get sooo many looks, it`s great. The new `stang is very popular here, apart from mine I`ve seen about 5 or 6 on the road in the last year and lots advertised for sale. They`re not cheap, retail your looking at £22,000 to £24,00 for a V6 coupe.( I paid £20,000 for my V6 Coupe premimum all in with the pony pack, interior upgrade, active alarm, silver stripes, charcoal leather) so I saved a bit, I can spend it on petrol (£4.40 a gallon!!)

Could you pm me all the details???

I might be heading home in 2 years and I thought taking my Stang back to the UK would be too much of a hassle. I also live in New Jersey so that might make the process a little easier!

Maybe he means alignment, or maybe the wheel is out of balance. My boss is based out of London, and him and I are still learning some of the quips between the different english varations. LOL.

lol thats what i was thinking... smoking the curb can lead to a possible tie rod end bending, leading to a toe issue.. other than that.. bent rim or rim out of balance will be a cause of concern
