usally after i have washed the car and forgot to hool the mat. i have two probs going 1. i have the aftermarket pont mats they are thiocker than factory and 2 i have the peddal covers both i would think could be argued by ford cause the prob. it hasent happend for a couple of monts so i figured its ok and both ti,es the matt was def the cause. ill just add some snaps. after the x is installed . would be kinda harry at 300 plus hp!

 

i'v had the same problem a couple times, but luckily i dont floor it when theres people in front of me just put your foot on the side of the pedal and pry it up with your foot.

 

I dont know about he floor mat thing...obviously didnt take time to look. I have aftermarket mats too. I am looking for the TSB and getting ready to go to the dealer and see what they say. I am more worried about the brakes and any heat damage I could have caused by smashing them the way I did. I am also going to put my factory mats in before I go.

 

i just uploaded the recall for the 04 they dont have anything for the 05-06 and it would be a recal

 

coulda been the floor mat, stuck throttle (they had a recall on some 99-04 mustangs for throttle cable getting hung up on hood mat), cruise control that was set;acting up, etc. Take it to the dealer if you didn't figure the problem out.
