Default Cleaning CAI air filters

I see that all the CAI filter companies say that their filter can be "cleaned and re-oiled".

Cleaned how?? Benzene, or some other nasty carcinogenic solvent?

And re-oiled with what type of oil? How many of you clear yours, or do you just buy another filter every 12,000 miles or so?

K&N has a cleaning kit that will work for most intakes. But, it's probably best to check with your intake manufacturer to see what they recommend.
