tints on a convertable
does anyone have tints on their convertible? i want to see what it would look like with the top down and windows up. I feel like it would be weird, but I drive with the top down and the windows up on the freeway a lot, so would like to know what it looks like before getting my tints. pics would be great!!
Mine are tinted, but I've never had the windows up with the top down since having them tinted. I think it would look really wierd. I'll try to do that and snap a picture of it sometime soon.

If I had a vert I wouldn't. It's illegal to have the front driver and passanger side window tinted in Illinois. It would look silly beacuse the front windows take up most of the side of the car. Not worth the price. Stupid Illinois laws!
If I lived in a state that it was legal I would. It gets mighty hot here in the summer.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

Same here, and a black car really soaks it up! The tint does help keep it cooler. I don't leave it parked outside often, but it sure did get baking hot in there before the tint.

j/k ... but I had a buddy who did that and the court dropped his ticket for tinted windows.
Jstang is right....I enlisted in the USAF a few years ago here in FL & was sent to NY to serve & I took my Datsun 1972 240Z with me (which I had tinted dark here in FL) & got pulled over near Buffalo by NYHP and they saw my FL plates & license and had to drop my tint ticket on the spot...funny how that works...unfortunately that didn't work when I got caught doing 117mph on an 75mph on I90...darn!!!

Wicked -- What you have to do is move to a state where you can legally do that, like Arizona, and then move back!
